On the personal side:

Her personalized approach and unsurpassed reputation as a fitness expert, counselor and eating disorder advisory has placed Mrs. Hastings as a high level official within the nutrition community.

Elaine was inspired to lead a healthy life by her own struggles as a young model and athlete competing for a spot on the U.S. women’s gymnastics team. As that dream approached actualization, her health began to deteriorate and she realized that the unrealistic expectations she set for herself, both physically and mentally, was the culprit. She found herself confronted with life or death and in the end, her goal to achieve a picture-perfect body image stole away her dreams of becoming an Olympian.

Elaine uses that experience today to fulfill her mission: To provide expert nutrition, cutting-edge research and education while promoting healthy lifestyles and enabling a lifelong goal of balanced nutrition. Whether she is working with a mom, athlete, large corporation, community or a youth struggling with an eating disorder, Elaine’s goal every day is to ensure the success, health and happiness of every client.

"When you choose Elaine Hastings, you will not only get an outstanding Dietitian, you will get a friend for life that will impact yours!”

Get an outstanding Dietitian that will impact your life!

“Elaine was recommended to me by a neighbor for nutritional guidance/support for my teenage daughter who was cross-training in several sports. I had received recommendations for several other Dietitians and was very unimpressed with all after initial phone calls. Elaine was very supportive and interested in my daughter as an individual from the very first phone conversation. Her follow-up is remarkable. She is not only extremely knowledgeable in her field; but, she is gifted in relating to teenagers and encouraging them to take an active role in their health through good nutrition. When you choose Elaine Hastings for nutritional counseling, you will not only get an outstanding Dietitian, you will get a friend for life that will impact yours! ”

This letter is written as an introduction to Elaine Hastings. Elaine is a credentialed sports professional in our association and in good standing. In order to become credentialed Elaine, like all professionals credentialed within our international association, had to submit his education, training, and experiential qualifications as well as meet an ethical assessment. ISPA only credentials the top professionals throughout the world and not everyone meets our standards.
On a personal note, Elaine is an outstanding professional who I can assure you has dedicated his career to helping others and has the personal characteristics that make him an outstanding addition to any organization. He receives my personal recommendation with the highest possible regard.

Yours Truly,

Dr. John E. Mayer

REASEARCH EXPERIENCE

  • Multi-center, two part, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multiple-dose study to assess the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of XX-XXXX on postprandial plasma glucose concentrations after daily administration of XX-XXXX before each meal (q.a.c.) in subjects with type 2 diabetes being treated with basal insulin pharmacodynamcis.
  • Research – XXX-XX natural protein, pure XXX-XX protein sports and fitness supplement, dosed in small amounts during warm-up and recovery.

Train your game: could XXX-XX natural protein improve an athlete’s game, training, strength, recovery and speed? Researched and took an in-depth look at how XXX-XX natural protein could help optimize an athlete’s training, competition and game.

Hypothesis proven true; with very small doses (1-2oz), XXX-XX natural protein significantly improved athlete’s strength, endurance and increased lean muscle while decreasing body fat. In conclusion, it is clear that XXX-XX natural protein is worthy of further research beyond the initial research and data collection. Further research could prove to solidify the initial Hypothesis. It is plausible that due to XXX-XX natural protein’s high bioavailability, Amino Acid structure and the ability to increase natural energy; XXX-XX natural protein could prevent fatigue, help the body recovery quickly, aid in muscle repair and in building lean muscle, therefore allowing an athlete to train longer, increase strength, decrease muscle soreness and gain a natural energy boost.  Competitive Edge Protein!
  • Randomized, double-blind placebo-controlled, 4-period, crossover study to evaluate the effects of XX-XXXX, XX-XXXX, XX-XXXX, and placebo on urinary prostanoid metabolites in subjects with type 2 diabetes.
  • Multi-center, randomized, double-blind, two-treatment, two-period, two-sequence crossover study to assess the bioequivalence of the phase III and commercial XX-XXXX delayed-release formulations in healthy male and female subjects.
  • Increase calorie/protein needs – REE & the Wound VAC.
    • Metabolic measurements using indirect calorimetry for determination of oxygen consumption (VO2), carbon dioxide production (VCO2), respiratory quotient (RQ), and resting energy expenditure (REE) as an aid to patient's nutritional assessment and management.
    • Assessment of wound VAC and outcome of increased REE.
    • Assessment of the relationship between the wound VAC and increased protein needs.
    • Assessment of increased calorie needs while on the wound VAC. The guideline addresses metabolic measurement during the use of a wound VAC.
  • Double-blind, randomized, placebo- and active-controlled crossover study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamcis of XX-XXX in subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
  • Double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, sequential cohort study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamcis of multiple oral daily doses of XX-XXX in subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
  • Double blind, placebo-controlled, randomized, parallel-group, multi-center study to evaluate the multiple dose pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic characteristics of XX-XXX in subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
